Oslo, July 9, 2021 - NEXT Biometrics (Oslo Bors: NEXT), has been granted $0.9
million in loan relief from the US Small Business Administration. 

In May 2020 NEXT`s American subsidiary NEXT Biometrics Inc received a COVID-19
US government sponsored loan (Paycheck Protection Program) of approximately $1
million. The program was created by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic
Security (CARES) Act of 2020 to cover payroll and help cover overhead expenses. 

The loan qualifies for loan forgiveness and the US Small Business Administration
has now granted $0.9 million in loan relief to NEXT Biometrics Inc. The loan
relief will be booked as a reduction in other operating expenses in NEXT's Q2
2021 report.
