HOUSTON (AP) _ NextDecade Corp. (NEXT) on Monday reported a loss of $11.6 million in its second quarter.

The Houston-based company said it had a loss of 13 cents per share.

The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 7 cents per share.

The company's shares closed at $3.11. A year ago, they were trading at $1.55.
