COP15 is the UN Biodiversity Conference being hosted in Montreal, Canada, this week. Where governments from around the world will meet to agree to a new set of biodiversity goals. Solar contributes significantly to the transformative changes needed to put biodiversity on a path to recovery by 2030 and to ensure that, by 2050, the shared vision of living in harmony with nature is fulfilled.

In support of COP15, NextEnergy Solar Fund (NESF) has launched its 2022 Natural Capital Series, looking at the additional biodiversity benefits that its solar assets provide. For the next 7 days, NESF will be posting a natural capital infographic highlighting the ecosystem services provided by solar PV.

NESF has been a leader in biodiversity initiatives across its solar assets, and with biodiversity deteriorating worldwide and set to worsen with business-as-usual scenarios, it has never been more important to highlight the importance of biodiversity and natural capital!
