Customers are now looking to electricity to decarbonize other fuels and that is becoming more likely due to affordable wind-and-solar costs, battery storage and hydrogen, said Rebecca Kujawa, CEO of NextEra Energy Resources.

Speaking at an Aspen Institute event in Miami Beach on Tuesday, she said: "It's a real path to getting not just the pure electricity decarbonized ... but even decarbonizing other things in the forms of energy for our customers," she said.
