JUNO BEACH, Fla. (AP) _ NextEra Energy Partners LP (NEP) on Wednesday reported third-quarter net income of $57 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Juno Beach, Florida-based company said it had net income of 76 cents.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 62 cents per share.

The limited partnership for clean-energy projects posted revenue of $240 million in the period, which did not meet Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $361.5 million.

NextEra Energy Partners shares have risen 23% since the beginning of the year. The stock has risen 27% in the last 12 months.
