NIKE : Watch Nike's New 'You Can't Stop Our Voice' Film

10/26/2020 | 08:01am EDT

Nike's latest film, 'You Can't Stop Our Voice,' illustrates how you don't have to be a global superstar to make an impact and extends NIKE, Inc.'s effort to get out the vote. Directed by Hiro Murai and narrated by actress Regina King, the film features athletes like LeBron James, Naomi Osaka, Odell Beckham Jr., Sue Bird, Ja Morant, A'ja Wilson and Tim Anderson.

In alignment with Nike's efforts to increase voter participation and minimize barriers to voting, the company has partnered with transportation networking company Lyft to support early voting and access to discounted rides* in communities who have historically had a harder time getting to the polls, as well as supporting voters in Nike World Headquarters' backyard.

Earlier this summer, and on the 55th anniversary of the historic Voting Rights Act, NIKE, Inc. celebrated the right to vote with a commitment to Time to Vote, a nonpartisan effort to increase voter participation in U.S. elections. Leading up to the November election, Nike additionally teamed up with nonpartisan expert Rock the Vote as a technology partner to create a platform for people to register to vote, check registration statuses and find state-by-state voting information. Nike also partnered with When We All Vote, a nonpartisan organization, to help provide information and resources to get out the vote.

In July, Michael Jordan and the Jordan Brand announced its initial partner donations from the $100 million over 10-years commitment to fight against systemic racism - including partners helping to tackle voter suppression. Converse has additionally supported efforts to raise awareness in civic engagement.

LeBron James Narrates 'Never Too Far Down'

Even against the toughest odds, hope remains connected to our sporting spirit.

As professional competition slowly returns around the world, we at Nike are reminded of the feeling of fandom. The thrill of experiencing disbelief, with all its reawakening power. And, more over, the joy of collective celebration.

'Never Too Far Down,' a film narrated by LeBron James, will air during Tiger Woods' return to the golf course. It extends Nike's 'You Can't Stop Us' campaign.

To mark the occasion, James, Woods and Serena Williams offer their thoughts on the power of sport:

'Even if basketball looks different for a while, I'm excited about the possibility of getting back in the game, because I know how inspiring and powerful sports can be. I think the lessons we learn from sport can inspire us all.' - LeBron James

'Sport can still be a positive force for so many people. I am looking forward to [the charity match] this weekend and creating a platform to raise money for Covid relief and hopefully remind folks of the levity and joy that golf and other sports can bring to the world.' - Tiger Woods

'Sport is the one thing that's true, it doesn't matter what you look like, where you're from. Everything is left out in the arena. For me, I put it all out there on the court as a player, but it also feels that way as a fan. You feel that joy when someone you're rooting for wins. That's because of the unity that sports bring us.' - Serena Williams
