PHOENIX (AP) _ Nikola Corporation (NKLA) on Monday reported a third-quarter loss of $117.5 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

The Phoenix-based company said it had a loss of 31 cents per share.

Nikola shares have climbed 81% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $18.63, an increase of 82% in the last 12 months.
