Nippon Paper Industries Co., Ltd. reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for six months ended September 30, 2018. For the period, the company's net sales were JPY 525,515 million compared to JPY 513,882 million a year ago. Operating income was JPY 11,776 million compared to JPY 5,096 million a year ago. Loss for the period was JPY 4,913 million compared to profit of JPY 3,408 million a year ago. Net loss per share was JPY 52.09 against profit of JPY 44.12 a year ago.
For the year ending March 31, 2019, the company now expects net sales of JPY 1,080,000 million, operating income of JPY 20,000 million and loss attributable to owners of parent of JPY 8,000 million or JPY 69.13 per share against net sales of JPY 1,080,000 million, operating income of JPY 25,000 million and loss attributable to owners of parent of JPY 18,000 million or JPY 155.54 per share as previously expected.
The company expects year-end dividend of JPY 30.00 per share for fiscal year ending March 31, 2019.
The company omits to pay dividend for second quarter of 2019.
