Finnish mobile game developer and publisher Nitro Games Oyj said late Wednesday that it expects its projects with Snap Inc. to be discontinued after the U.S. company's announcement of restructuring plans.

Snap Inc., the parent company of the Snapchat social-media app, unveiled plans Wednesday to cut a fifth of its workforce and discontinue investments on several fronts, including games, as part of a restructuring.

Nitro Games has two progressing, almost-completed development projects with Snap Inc. and two previously-released instant games on the Snapchat platform. These projects are not part of the core business of Nitro Games and the expected direct financial impact to the company is expected to be less than 100,000 euros ($100,545) and therefore not significant, it added.
