nmcn is one of four companies awarded a framework agreement by Affinity Water worth circa £100 million in total. The four contracts make up a significant part of the multi-million AMP7 Capital Investment Programme and will cover all regions served by Affinity Water.

Under this framework, which runs until 2026, partners will be delivering over 100 different projects providing civil engineering, M&E, process treatment and pumping station projects in order to deliver Affinity Water's commitment to taking care of the environment by complementing the sustainability reductions programme, continuing to build on their resilience and protecting customer supplies.

To achieve this, over 23km of pipes will be added to the network and new booster stations, reservoirs and treatment plants built to allow Affinity Water to move water in and around its supply area - fulfilling its commitment to reduce abstraction from natural sources such as chalk streams.

nmcn was originally awarded Affinity Water's AMP6 Capital Delivery Programme and has successfully delivered circa £35m during the AMP. Schemes of note included West Hyde Water Treatment Works, Cockfosters Water Treatment Works and Wheathampstead Water Treatment Works.

Andy Langman, Chief Operating Officer for nmcn's Water business unit, commented: 'We look forward to continuing to support Affinity Water with innovative solutions in order to provide sustainable long-term asset resilience and improved value for their customers during AMP7.'

Steve Plumb, Director of Asset Strategy and Capital Delivery said: 'Affinity Water is pleased to sign this long-term agreement with nmcn to support in the delivery of our challenging above ground assets programme. These frameworks adopt a more collaborative approach focusing on achieving shared programme value and efficiencies. We look forward to continuing our successful relationship with nmcn.'
