HAMBURG (dpa-AFX) - The past year brought wind turbine manufacturer Nordex a worse order balance in terms of output. A total of 2022 orders with a total capacity of 6.33 gigawatts were received, the company announced in Hamburg on Tuesday. This figure compares with 7.95 gigawatts in 2021, in which the Hanseatic company had, however, landed a major order from Australia for 1 gigawatt.

In the final quarter of 2022, Nordex was able to accelerate the pace, but was still lagging well behind the previous year: here, order intake stood at 386 wind turbines with a total capacity of 1.9 gigawatts. A year earlier, the figure had been 678 turbines with a total capacity of 3.3 gigawatts. Looking at the fourth quarter, Nordex CEO José Luis Blanco emphasized that higher turbine prices had been achieved than in the previous year./tav/mis
