In July, the site entered into an eight-year agreement with the City of Spanish Fork and the Utah Municipal Power Agency to procure locally produced electricity from two recently completed photovoltaic solar installations.

Hydro Spanish Fork is a key provider to the manufacturing industry. On-site billet casting allows Hydro Spanish Fork to produce unique custom blends of aluminium alloy for customers with specific performance requirements.

The Spanish Fork facility is Hydro's second location in North America to reach this milestone, joining the Pointe-Claire, Quebec site which utilizes 100 percent hydroelectric power. Pending the completion of a new solar field in first half 2023, Hydro's Cressona, Pennsylvania facility will also source its entire electrical needs from renewable energy.
