LEWISTON, Maine (AP) _ Northeast Bancorp (NBN) on Wednesday reported earnings of $21.4 million in its fiscal fourth quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Lewiston, Maine-based company said it had profit of $2.54.

The holding company for Northeast Bank posted revenue of $39.8 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $37.8 million.

For the year, the company reported profit of $71.5 million, or $8.55 per share. Revenue was reported as $139.1 million.

Northeast Bancorp shares have risen 34% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $30.25, an increase of 98% in the last 12 months.
