SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) _ NorthWestern Corp. (NWE) on Wednesday reported third-quarter net income of $29.5 million.

On a per-share basis, the Sioux Falls, South Dakota-based company said it had profit of 58 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 59 cents per share.

The electric and gas utility posted revenue of $280.6 million in the period.

For the current quarter ending in December, NorthWestern expects its per-share earnings to range from $1.23 to $1.38.

The company expects full-year earnings in the range of $3.30 to $3.45 per share.

NorthWestern shares have dropped 27% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $52.14, a decline of 30% in the last 12 months.
