NOV's Fiber Glass Systems plant in Qingdao, China, will manufacture about 1,300 m of Bondstrand 2000M and 2440 series piping systems in diameters ranging from 2 in. to 36 in. The lightweight and corrosion-resistant GRE piping will be used for the ballast, seawater and cooling water, water generator, and leg jetting systems. Deliveries for the first vessel are expected to be completed in March 2023.

Based on the GustoMSC™ NG-20000X self-propelled jack-up design, Cadeler's X-class wind turbine installation vessels will have 5,600 m2 of deck space and a carrying capacity of more than 17,600 tons, the largest in the industry. In addition to the piping systems and jack-up design, NOV is supplying the jacking systems that incorporate proprietary advanced regenerative power system technology to save fuel and reduce emissions.

The first vessel is expected to be delivered from COSCO's shipyard in Qidong, China, in the third quarter of 2024. Siemens Gamesa has contracted the vessel to transport and install 100 14-MW wind turbines at RWE's Sofia offshore wind farm in the North Sea.
