Novatek Microelectronics Corp. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2021. For the second quarter, the company announced total revenue was TWD 34,111.302 million compared to TWD 18,610.288 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 11,992.023 million compared to TWD 3,165.789 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 9,786.068 million compared to TWD 2,556.742 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 16.08 compared to TWD 4.2 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 16.07 compared to TWD 4.2 a year ago. For the half year, total revenue was TWD 60,477.817 million compared to TWD 35,501.442 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 19,202.555 million compared to TWD 5,766.756 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 15,661.282 million compared to TWD 4,767.874 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 25.74 compared to TWD 7.84 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was TWD 25.72 compared to TWD 7.83 a year ago.
Novatek Microelectronics Corp is mainly engaged in the manufacture of electronic components, information software services and international trade. The Company's main products include flat-panel display drive wafers and system-on-chip (SOC) wafers. Flat-panel display drive wafers mainly include large-size liquid crystal display (LCD) and active matrix organic light-emitting diode (AMOLED) panel drive wafers, LCD touch and touch controller and display drive integration (TDDI) and AMOLED drive wafers for mobile phones, and automotive panel drive wafers. SOC wafers include LCD panel timing control wafers, digital TV system control single wafers, LCD monitor control wafers, motion estimation and motion compensation (MEMC) image processing wafers, driving recorders, image sensor wafers for reversing display, security control wafers, image sensor wafers for external computer cameras.
