Novozymes AS is the world's leading producer of enzymes and microorganisms for industrial companies. Net sales break down by market are as follows:

- domestic cleaning and servicing products industry (33.1%);

- food industry (29%);

- bioenergy (19.6%);

- agriculture and animal feed industry (13.1%): enzymes used to improve the productivity and digestion of foods;

- wastewater treatment and technical industry (5.2%): micro-organisms used in the wastewater treatment, technical enzymes for the textile, leather, pulp and paper industries.

At the end of 2019, the group operated 16 production sites around the world.

Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: Denmark (1.2%), Europe/Middle East/Africa (35.8%), North America (33%), Asia/Pacific (20%) and Latin America (9.8%).
