The technology sector lost ground to end a week shortened by Monday's Memorial Day holiday. The sector was still up for the week.

Zscaler's stock rose 10%, bucking the cybersecurity sector's weakness, after its fiscal third quarter revenue reported late Thursday beat both analyst expectations and its own guidance.

Nvidia fell 3% after the AI chip maker had a disappointing reaction to earnings Thursday.
