The highly optimized and integrated board is based on the S32G3 vehicle network processor, and provides reference for automotive applications such as vehicle service-oriented gateways (SoGs), domain control, vehicle black boxes for data logging, and safety checking for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving. The S32G3 Vehicle Networking Reference Design supports essential automotive functions, including firmware over-the-air (FOTA), automotive access points, vehicle compute, and zonal gateways.
The NXP S32G3 Vehicle Networking Reference Design, now available at Mouser, leverages its octal Arm Cortex-A53 cores (with optional cluster lockstep) and quad, dual-core lockstep Arm Cortex-M7 cores to provide a high-performance computing capacity. Featuring 18 CAN/CAN FD and 12 ethernet ports, the reference design offers real-time network performance, multi-gigabit packet acceleration and security, and rich input/output (I/O). The board is highly efficient, supporting low-power modes and multiple wake-up sources. Expansion options are provided by two M.2 slots and a PCIe socket.
