ADRs End Mostly Lower; Can-Fite Biopharma Up on Patent Applications

International stocks trading in New York closed mostly lower on Wednesday.

The S&P/BNY Mellon index of American depositary receipts fell 0.33% to 159.47. The European index rose 0.07% to 146.87. The Asian index fell 0.84% to 204.06. The Latin American index decreased 1.02% to 176.40. The emerging-markets index dropped 1.13% to 331.53.

Can-Fite Biopharma Ltd.'s ADRs rose 15.1% after the Israeli company said it is filing new patent applications in several countries for the treatment of advanced solid tumors based on new clinical data regarding its drug candidate Namodenoson.

ADRs of Oatly Group AB rose 1.03% during the day on Wednesday, but slipped 0.51% in after-hours trading after the oat drink maker said Bjorn Oste, a member of Oatly's board, will step down later this week.
