Oil Search supports Government vaccination campaign

Oil Search employees have started receiving the COVID-19 AstraZeneca vaccine as part of the Papua New Guinea Government 'Sleeves Up' vaccination campaign launched earlier this month to prevent the worst impacts of COVID- 19.

More than 160 members of staff and management in the Company's Port Moresby head office have so far been vaccinated after volunteering with 160 more expected to receive the vaccine over the next few days.

Leon Buskens, Oil Search Country Manager and Wayne Kasou, Senior Vice President for Government Affairs were also vaccinated as part of the campaign. Mr Buskens said it was encouraging to see most of Oil Search's workforce in Port Moresby receive the added protection that the vaccine provides.

Oil Search continues to support the PNG Government's fight against COVID-19 through various capacities, including sourcing and supplying PPE for frontline health workers to assisting with dissemination of vital information to both our workforce and communities.

As part of this ongoing effort, the Company also stands ready in conjunction with the National Control Centre to support the vaccination programme in areas where we operate through the Oil Search Foundation.
