HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) _ Ollie's Bargain Outlet Holdings Inc. (OLLI) on Thursday reported fiscal second-quarter net income of $99.4 million.

On a per-share basis, the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania-based company said it had profit of $1.50. Earnings, adjusted for pretax gains, came to $1.04 per share.

The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 87 cents per share.

The retailer posted revenue of $529.3 million in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $515.9 million.

Ollie's Bargain Outlet shares have climbed 64% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $106.99, a rise of 36% in the last 12 months.
