Olympique Lyonnais Groupe SA (ENXTPA:OLG) has received at least six offers, according to a person with knowledge of the matter. A mix of American and European suitors have made bids for a key stake in club owner OL Groupe SA that's being sold by Pathé SAS and IDG Capital Partners Co., Ltd., the person said. More proposals are expected to be received in the coming days, according to the person, who asked not to be identified because the information is private.

OL Groupe said in a statement on April 22, 2022 that it was aware of expressions of interest from some investors in buying out Pathe and IDG. There's no certainty of any deal happening, the club said. Pathe and IDG own about 39% of OL Groupe's share capital and just under half its voting rights, according to the company's website.

Prospective buyers will begin meetings with management next week, the person said. Any successful bidder could launch a tender offer to other OL Groupe shareholders to reach a majority stake in the club. Chairman Jean-Michel Aulas's family investment vehicle plans to keep its 28% stake in the company, the person said.

Boutique investment bank Raine Group LLC is advising on the sale. Representatives for IDG Capital and Pathe didn't immediately respond to requests for comment.
