Omani Qatari Telecommunications Company SAOG announced appointment of Mr. Bassam Al Ibrahim as the new the Chief Executive Officer effective from 1 March 2023 succeeding the current Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Noor Al Sulaiti, due to non-renewal of her employment contract. Mr. Bassam Al-lbrahim previously served as the CEO of Ooredoo Algeria, and has also held several senior positions in the areas of telecom, information technology, project management and procurement at Ooredoo Group and other multi-national organizations. Mr. Al-lbrahim holds a Master's degree in Digital Transformation from HEC, Paris, and a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Essex, UK.
