OptiCept Technologies has today entered into a commercial agreement with the German company Steinicke for drying vegetables with the application dryCEPT®.

The agreement, which extends over a 3-year period, is valued at an estimated SEK 4 million and the total value includes both fixed and variable fees.

During the previous months, Steinicke has carried out a pilot project with dryCEPT® installed in its production line for drying carrots. Good results achieved during this period now lead to further cooperation and the first commercial installation of dryCEPT®.

“Another major breakthrough for OptiCept, which is now opening up the market for dried foods to us in a good way. We have a close and good collaboration with Steinicke and see good potential to also develop the business in the long term and include other types of crops that are part of their product portfolio, ”says Johan Möllerström, CEO of OptiCept Technologies.

dryCEPT® is a product in OptiCept's portfolio based on the patented CEPT technology that improves the drying process for vegetables, spices and herbs. With the technology, the drying process can be streamlined, better quality is achieved such as color, aroma and taste.

Steinicke is a family-owned company with a focus on sustainability and provides the largest brands in the world with its products.
