Orica : Board Announcement

Melbourne: Orica (ASX: ORI) Chairman Malcolm Broomhead today announced that, in accordance with Orica's normal Board succession practices, the Board will welcome the addition of Mr Boon Swan Foo, effective 6 May 2019.

Mr Broomhead said Mr Boon brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience, fostered through non-executive roles in both established companies and start-ups.

'Mr Boon's experience in the energy, oil and gas, and automotive industries, and the roles he has played in directing large companies and nurturing start-ups, as well as his deep knowledge of the Asian region including China, will be of great benefit to Orica.'

Mr Boon will offer himself for election as a Director at the next Annual General Meeting in December 2019.

Boon Swan Foo Biography

Mr Boon is Chairman and Non-executive Director of SGX-ST-listed Global Investments Limited, Chairman of Allgrace Investment Management Private Limited, and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Singapore Consortium Investment Management Limited. He is also an External Director of China Huadian Corporation Ltd., Outside Director of China National Offshore Oil Corporation, and Advisor to Vidycoin (USA). Mr Boon is a former Senior Advisor to Temasek International Advisors Pte Ltd, and a Non-executive Director of Singbridge Holdings Pte Ltd, Singbridge International Singapore Pte Ltd and Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City Investment and Development Company.

Mr Boon holds an MBA from the National University of Singapore and has completed Harvard's Advanced Management Program. He is also a member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants and a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accounts (UK).
