The IGP (Indication Géographique Protégée) label identifies genuine, traditional specialities with a strong connection to their region of origin, their 'terroir'. For generations, they have been produced by cheesemakers, bakers, butchers and distillers directly on location with great passion and devotion.

IGP products bear the name of the region of origin and must have been produced, processed or refined there. IGP is a legally protected Swiss quality label, whose origin, processing and quality requirements are specified in a special register and checked by independent certification bodies.

More and more consumers are basing their decision on what food to buy on quality labels and origin guarantees.

Currently, 14 specialities are registered as Swiss IGP products - including Bündnerfleisch, St. Galler Kalbsbratwurst and Zuger Kirschtorte. A recent addition is Appenzeller Mostbröckli. The ORIOR subsidiary Möfag is proud to sell its delicious Mostbröckli recently under the IGP labe
