OSLO BORS VPS HOLDING ASA
Håvard S. Abrahamsen (52) has been appointed as the new President and CEO of Oslo Børs and Oslo Børs VPS Holding. He will take up the role on 1 July 2019 at the latest.
Håvard S. Abrahamsen joins the group from his position as a partner at PwC. He has been a partner at PwC since 2002, and he was Managing Director of PwC Norway between 2010 and 2018. He has also been on PwC's Global Board for the last five years. Before joining PwC, Håvard spent eight years at Oslo Børs, where his final role was Executive Vice President, Equity Markets.
Håvard holds a master's degree in economics and business administration from BI Norwegian Business School and a master's degree in accounting and auditing from the Norwegian School of Economics.
Håvard S. Abrahamsen's considerable and wide-ranging senior management experience at an expertise-based company working in the capital and corporate markets, his experience of change management, and his experience of interacting with supervisors and other authorities at the national and international level were decisive factors in his appointment.
One of Håvard's tasks will be to continue to develop Oslo Børs' marketplaces and services in ways that enable the company to further increase the level of national and international interest in listing and trading on its marketplaces. He will also assist with the further development of VPS, which is facing a period of major change with a new competitive situation as well as greater international standardisation and efficiency.

The appointment process was conducted by a working committee of the Board, with support from Korn Ferry.
Bente A. Landsnes will continue as President and CEO until Håvard S. Abrahamsen takes up the position.
