KEMLER TO SERVE AS SUPERVISORY BOARD CHAIRMAN AS OF NOVEMBER 1, 2012
The resolution proposed to elect Rudolf Kemler to the Supervisory Board of Austrian Post effective November1, 2012 was approved by today's Extraordinary General Meeting. Rudolf Kemler will replace Markus Beyrer, who is retiring from the Supervisory Board of Austrian Post on October 31, 2012.
At the constituent meeting of the Supervisory Board following the Extraordinary General Meeting, Rudolf Kemler was elected to serve as Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
RUDOLF KEMLER
The professional career of Rudolf Kemler (born 1956) began at
various banks such as Creditanstalt and Girocentrale. From
1984 to 1989, Kemler assumed the position of Managing
Director at WBG Betriebswirtschaft Beratungsgesellschaft
m.b.H. before joining the senior management team at Nixdorf
Computer GmbH. Following the major role played in the fusion
with Siemens-Data, Kemler was appointed as Director of
Siemens Nixdorf Informationssysteme GmbH in Vienna in 1990
and then transferred to Group headquarters in Munich in 1992
to serve as Executive Vice President with global
responsibility for the "Branch System" business area. In 1995
he returned to Vienna to manage the Computer Systems Division
of Siemens Nixdorf for the Region Austria & South East
Europe. Between 1998 and 2000, Kemler was the Senior Vice
President and CIO at Capital Corporation in Stamford (USA)
before being named Chairman of the Board of Stage1.cc
Technology Business Incubator AG in Vienna.
Starting in 2002 Kemler worked as the Chairman of the
Management Board of T-Systems Austria on behalf of Deutsche
Telekom, and was subsequently appointed the Managing Director
of HP Austria in 2008 with operational responsibility for HP
Austria. In addition, he heads the Enterprise Business area
at HP Austria.
