TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) _ Owens Corning (OC) on Wednesday reported third-quarter profit of $260 million.

The Toledo, Ohio-based company said it had profit of $2.50 per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to $2.52 per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2.51 per share.

The construction materials company posted revenue of $2.21 billion in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $2.15 billion.
