Palantir Technologies Inc. said the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has renewed its contract with the company to support Homeland Security Investigations with Investigative Case Management software.

Palantir said the contract is worth $95.9 million over a five-year period. The company said it has partnered with the Department of Homeland Security since 2011 to support the program.

Homeland Security's Investigative Case Management software is used by special agents, criminal analysts and other personnel to document investigative activities leading up to the prosecution of suspects, the company said. The software has been used to help enforce sanctions on Russian oligarchs as well as to help arrest foreign mercenaries and key cartel leaders, Palantir said.
