TMK has appointed Dmitry Markov as Managing Director of TMK's Seversky Pipe Plant (STZ), replacing Mikhail Zuyev, who has headed STZ since 2009 and is now advisor to the TMK CEO.

Dmitry Markov began his career in the industry at Pervouralsk Pipe Plant (PNTZ), now part of TMK, and worked his way up from assistant supervisor, to chief engineer, to Deputy Executive Director. He also held management positions at Chelpipe Group and Chelpipe-Engineering, later supervising long-term technical development at United Metallurgical Company (OMK). Prior to his latest appointment, he was Director for Operational Excellence at TMK.

Part of TMK since 2002, STZ produces up to 1 million tonnes of steel annually and about 900 thousand tonnes of seamless and welded pipe. STZ's electric arc furnace capacity is enough to meet its own needs and supply continuously cast billet to TMK's Sinarsky Pipe Plant (SinTZ). The enterprise produces high-tech seamless oil country tubular goods (OCTG) for hydrocarbon production, as well as pipe and tubular products for various kinds of pipeline projects, machine building, construction, and utilities. The plant is a major taxpayer in the Sverdlovsk Region, while also running charitable initiatives, supporting key social infrastructure in Polevskoy, and promoting industrial tourism. It also hosts a unique museum complex, Severskaya Domna, which is a federal-level object of cultural heritage.
