PAO TMK TMK held an interactive career guidance marathon at the Company's enterprises for participants of educational forums that are taking place in Sochi as part of the I Am a Professional national student olympiad.
The career guidance marathon is part of a forum that is held in two phases: Materials Science and Construction (February 2-8) and Software and Radio Frequency Engineering (February 10-16). Twelve student teams began preparing for the marathon a day before by studying the presentation materials of TMK's largest enterprises: the Volzhsky, Seversky and Sinarsky pipe plants, Orsky Machine Building Plant, Pervouralsk Pipe Plant, Taganrog Metallurgical Plant and Chelyabinsk Pipe Plant.
On the event day, each team followed its own route, stopping at the presentation areas of the plants. Students solved logic problems and answered questions about the enterprises while getting acquainted with potential job offers. They also had a chance to ask representatives of each plant questions during the day. As part of the marathon, they earned points, which were added to the forum participants' common bank.
Elena Pozolotina, TMK Vice President for Human Resources - Director of TMK2U Corporate University, said: "TMK enterprises are advanced, high-tech production sites, where priority is given to the comfort and safety of employees as well as a favorable environment for professional growth. We are open for dialogue and focus on attracting new talent, including from among students, collaborating with leading vocational and higher education institutions to this end. During the career marathon, we showed guests our environmentally friendly and technologically advanced sites and gained further insight into what young people expect from employers. We are confident that our engagement with students will continue in various formats after the event."
