Like the old 1978 SNL John Belushi Olympia Tavern skit, Papa John's has got "cheeseburger, cheeseburger, cheeseburger' on the brain and on the plate. The brand is returning its Double Cheeseburger Pizza, originally launched in 2015, to its offerings and actually adding a Papadia version of what the brand said in a news release is a "fan favorite."

Today, Papa John's said it's offering a "sneak peak" of the pickle, beef, cheese and burger sauce-adorned pizza at select locations of the Louisville-based brand.

"The new Double Cheeseburger Papadia tastes like a cheeseburger wrapped in Papa John's signature pizza dough," Tom Smith, director of culinary innovation, said in the release. "We're confident that we can satisfy even the most discerning cheeseburger lover."

From today through Oct. 25, the Double Cheeseburger Pizza and Double Cheeseburger Papadia will be available exclusively for Papa Rewards members. Both items will become available to the wider public beginning October 26.

At the end of June, Papa John's had more than 5,300 restaurants in 48 countries and territories. Though the chain is now based in Louisville, it will move most corporate functions to Atlanta soon.
