GREENWICH, Conn., Jan. 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- PASSUR Aerospace, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: PSSR) announced today that Washington Dulles International Airport, part of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, has contracted for the PASSUR(R) Delayed Aircraft Assistance Program(TM) (DAAP), which allows airports to proactively manage lengthy airline on-board delays through timely coordination, communication and collaboration with their airline partners. The PASSUR DAAP is part of the PASSUR OPSnet(TM) Suite, a web platform which provides a single resource for managing many aviation processes requiring collaboration among key players, such as NOTAMS/Field Condition Reporting, construction planning, and irregular events such as snow and summer convective activity.

"Airports are being asked to play a leadership role, in collaboration with their airline partners, to manage these extremely disruptive on-board delays," said Jim Barry, President and CEO of PASSUR Aerospace. "The DOT task force report on lengthy on-board delays stresses that airports cannot insulate themselves from this problem and suggest to the media and the traveling public that it's exclusively an 'airline issue.' The program we have launched gives airports the information and the tools to react and assist carriers quickly and flexibly, respond to some of the key recommendations of the DOT report, and ultimately diminish the dislocation to passengers. Dulles is among those airports taking the lead on this critical issue, and we're proud to have partnered with them in developing an important component of the industry's response."

The PASSUR Airport Operations Program

Airports are being asked to provide more cost-effective, efficient, and safe airfield operations for carriers, to help them achieve greater throughput, quicker turns and fewer ground delays - critical elements of airline profitability in today's challenging environment. Airports also want to consolidate as many airfield management functions onto a single platform to minimize staff requirements. The PASSUR Airport Operations Program provides airport ramp tower, operations and communication centers the alerts, decision support, planning and analysis tools they need to run a more efficient and safe operation, and the web platform for cost-effective communication, coordination and collaboration with all the airport's key constituencies.

The Delayed Aircraft Assistance Program provides onscreen and email information and alerts for flights experiencing extended ground delays off the gate, and tools to communicate, coordinate and manage these events in real time with the carriers in a secure and confidential environment. It is driven by the PASSUR radar network and aviation database, creating independent support for airport action.
