JetBlue now allows customers to pay for flights using Paypal's Venmo platform.
The airline said Tuesday that the option to pay with Venmo is currently available to U.S. customers on JetBlue's website and will roll out to its mobile app in the coming months.
JetBlue said it is the first carrier to accept Venmo payments. Customers can buy flights using their Venmo balance or through their linked bank accounts, debit cards or credit cards, the company said.
Carol Clements, the airline's chief digital and technology officer, said Venmo offers customers a seamless payment option.
The addition follows JetBlue's introduction of new features on its mobile app in September, including a countdown to boarding on phone lock screens and gate information that's easier to access.
