Pernod Ricard's director of cognac operations, Philippe Neusch, will step down from his position on Wednesday, according to an internal document seen by Reuters and confirmed by a company spokesperson.
He will be succeeded by François-Xavier Morizot, currently director of champagne operations, whose role has now been expanded.
Philippe Neusch led the Martell cognac house for less than two years, during a period when the industry has been grappling with weak demand and international trade tensions.
