GRAND RAPIDS - Perrigo Company plc (NYSE; TASE: PRGO), a leading provider of Quality, Affordable Self-Care Products, is pleased to announce that its team members, in conjunction with The Perrigo Company Charitable Foundation, donated $600,000 to local United Ways in 2020.
The donations consisted of $250,000 in contributions from Perrigo's team members, which was matched dollar for dollar by the Perrigo Company Charitable Foundation, for a total donation of $500,000.
Perrigo's Charitable Foundation also donated an additional $100,000 to the Allegan County and Ottawa County United Way chapters, both located in Southwest Michigan, to support child literacy programs through the Imagination Library. These programs include early age reading programs and free book delivery to children's homes, which is especially significant during the current global pandemic.
United Way Worldwide is the world's largest privately funded nonprofit, working in 95% of U.S. communities and 40 countries and territories to fight for the health, education and financial stability of every person in every community.
For more than 30 years, Perrigo has partnered with United Way to advance the non-profit's mission of improving lives by mobilizing the caring power of communities around the world to advance the common good. Since 2015, Perrigo and its team members have supported United Way's mission with nearly $3.6 million in donations.

Patrick Moran, President of the Allegan & Ottawa County United Way commented, 'We're proud to partner with Perrigo, whose employees 'Live United' and work in their communities every day! With Perrigo's assistance, in 2020 we helped almost 3,000 children receive literacy support, provided more than 50 tons of food and personal care items to families in need through our Goods Donation Center, helped with financial and tax support to local families, mobilized over 10,000 volunteers, and provided funding for 75 local programs. In addition, we delivered additional emergency COVID-19 support grants through the 'Feed the Need' Allegan and Ottawa County coalitions! We accomplished this and so much more thanks to Perrigo and other partners like them that 'Live United.'
