MENLO PARK, Calif. (AP) _ Personalis Inc. (PSNL) on Wednesday reported a loss of $27.5 million in its second quarter.

The Menlo Park, California-based company said it had a loss of 60 cents per share.

The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 63 cents per share.

The provider of contract research and genomic information posted revenue of $18.2 million in the period, also topping Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $15.1 million.

Personalis expects full-year revenue in the range of $62 million to $67 million.
