RIO DE JANEIRO, April 19 (Reuters) - Brazil's state-run oil firm Petrobras is expected to pay 100% of the extra dividends withheld by the firm in March, said Brazilian newspaper O Globo on Friday.

The payment would be approved during the next shareholders meeting, set to happen on April 25. The newspaper added that a strong first quarter was a contributing factor to make the payment decision.

Around midday, Petrobras shares were up around 2.4%. (Reporting by Fabio Teixeira; Editing by Steven Grattan)
