Petrobras clarifies pieces of news in the media

Rio de Janeiro, October 2, 2023 - Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. - Petrobras, in relation to media reports on the existence of reserves of 5.6 billion barrels of oil in blocks of the equatorial margin in the Amazon region of Amapá, clarifies that the company does not inform or make public the volumetric potential in exploratory areas.
As disclosed on 05/18/2023, Petrobras is making efforts to obtain a drilling license in this region, as it remains committed to the development of the Brazilian Equatorial Margin and recognizes the importance of new frontiers to ensure the country's energy security and the necessary resources for a fair and sustainable energy transition.
