Rio de Janeiro, August 15, 2022 - Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. - Petrobras, following up on the releases disclosed on 07/20/2022 and 08/11/2022, informs that it received an official letter from the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) today, at 5:47 p.m., ratifying the nomination by the controlling shareholder of Mr. Jônathas Assunção Salvador Nery de Castro for the Company's Board of Directors (BD), to be submitted to the Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) called for 08/19/2022.

The Manual of the EGM was resubmitted on this date to inform about the receipt of this official letter (Attachment VIII of the Manual) and is available on the website https://www.investidorpetrobras.com.br/en/shares-dividends-and-debts/assemblies-and-meetings/and on the CVM website (http://www.cvm.gov.br).
