Wilson Ferreira Junior, President of Petrobras Distribuidora S.A. (BOVESPA:BRDT3) (Vibra Energia) (formerly BR Distribuidora) has stated that the company aims to raise around BRL 1 billion (€162.47 million /$191.09 million) from divestment of logistics assets. The plan is to sell between 20 and 25 assets, of the 95 currently held by the company. The company has reported advanced negotiations for three assets, with the potential for BRL 130 million, with the sales to be announced by the end of 2021. The executive notes that Vibra Energia will still invest in logistics infrastructure despite the plan, but with a focus on assets that are still of interest. The company is due to present a new strategic plan to investors on September 1, 2021, including more detail on its switch to a low carbon economy. This could include the use of renewable and distributed generation energy for petrol stations.
