Petropavlovsk PLC (the 'Company') notes that IRC Limited ('IRC'), a producer and developer of industrial commodities in which the Company is a significant shareholder (31.1%), today released its Q2 2021 trading update for the three months ended 30 June 2021.

Petropavlovsk acts as guarantor in relation to the obligations of K&S, a wholly owned IRC subsidiary, under two loan facility agreements with Gazprombank. During Q2 2021, IRC paid c.US$8.5m to Gazprombank as principal repayment and interest in accordance with the repayment schedule. In addition, K&S made an early repayment of US$20m to Gazprombank in July. Therefore, the outstanding loan principal amount as of the date of this announcement amounted to c.US$174m.
