PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S A : Wojciech Dąbrowski has been appointed a President of the Management Board of PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A. He declares a green direction of development with respect for the conventional basis.

PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A. needs a strong driving force in the area of management to meet the challenges it faces.The EU climate policy, the green order, decarbonization, and growing social and ecological expectations - these elements have already influenced the energy sector and they will determine the work of the PGE Management Board.A green direction of development with respect for more conventional strategies of obtaining energy is the goal I set for myself - says Wojciech Dąbrowski.

PGE is a part of social and industrial ecosystems and cannot function separately.The transformation of energy sources in Poland must be conducted in a way that does not threaten the Polish economy, and the PGE Capital Group, because of its influence and size, should set standards across the whole power sector.We are going to use financial mechanisms which serve the goal of climate neutrality based on a reasonable schedule.In my opinion, the key element of success is the attitude of the company's employees and their willingness to cooperate.The transformation towards renewable energy sources must be and will be carried out in cooperation with the social side - adds Wojciech Dąbrowski.

The PGE Management Board plans an audit of its projects and urgently, within two months, will present the policy of the PGE Capital Group's activities.

Wojciech Dąbrowski has been working as a manager in the energy sector for ten years. From November 2017 to February 2020, he was President of the Management Board of PGE Energia Ciepła S.A., where he accomplished the process of Polish heat industry asset integration purchased by the PGE Group from French EDF. He created a strong business line within the PGE Capital Group dealing with district heating. In 2019, he completed the integration process of heat assets separated during the process of PGE Capital Group assets consolidation. From January 2016 to November 2017, he was President of the Management Board of PGNiG Termika, where he conducted the acquisition process of PEC Jastrzębie and SEJ Jastrzębie, strengthening the market position of PGNiG Termika. Between 2011 and 2016, he was Vice-President of the Municipal Heat Energy Company Ltd. in Wołomin.

He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Warsaw, where he was awarded a Master of Law degree. He also completed post-graduate studies at the Warsaw University of Technology at the Faculty of Power and Aeronautical Engineering, in the area of steam exploitation, gas and steam-gas power plants, combined heat and power plants, as well as at Leon Koźminski Academy of Entrepreneurship and Management, and the University of Warsaw at the Faculty of Management - Management in Public Administration.

Wojciech Dąbrowski has many years of experience in management, both in central and local governments. He was involved in investment and legal advisory services in the area of obtaining funds from the European Union and managing human teams during the implementation of investment projects. He supervised the preparation and implementation of investment and modernization projects and M&A projects, as well as restructuring and development activities in companies, improving their functioning and profitability.

In 2019, he was appointed President of the PTEZ (Polish Association of Professional Heat and Power Plants) by the National Assembly of PTEZ Members. He is a member of the Management Board of the Polish Electricity Association (PKEE) and Regulating Committee (Komitet Sterujący) for scientific research and development in the sphere of security and national defense at the National Center for Research and Development.

Wojciech Dąbrowski actively participates in the public debate on the directions of energy development, environmental protection, waste management and energy security. As President of PGE Energia Ciepła S.A., a company of the PGE Group, he acted as an advocate of active cooperation with self-government authorities and local heat distributors, which contributed to the development of heat markets and an increase in the number of customers connected to the system, and, consequently improved the cleanliness of the natural environment and quality of life of the local communities. He has supported and promoted cogeneration technology as the most efficient and environmentally friendly way of generating electricity and heat. He has also taken part in the work on developing a support scheme for cogeneration.
