Prudential Short Duration High Yield Fund, Inc. announced unaudited earnings results for the quarter ended May 31, 2016. For the quarter, the company reported net asset value per share as on May 31, 2016 of $16.79 against $16.22 as on February 29, 2016. Net investment income was $10,799,087 or $0.32 per common share against $12,266,736 or $0.37 per common share a year ago. Net realized and unrealized gain was $19,271,080 or $0.58 per common share against net realized and unrealized losses of $2,162,213 or $0.07 per common share a year ago. Net increase in net assets from operations was $30,070,167 or $0.90 per common share against $10,104,523 or $0.30 per common share a year ago.
PGIM High Yield Bond Fund, Inc. (the Fund) is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fundâs investment objective is to provide a high level of current income. The Fund is focused on investing at least 80% of its investable assets in a diversified portfolio of high yield fixed income instruments that are rated below investment grade with varying maturities and other investments, including derivatives with similar economic characteristics. The Fund may invest up to 20% of its investable assets in United States currency denominated and/or foreign currency denominated fixed income instruments issued by foreign issuers. The Fund invests in various industries, which include telecommunications, oil and gas, affiliated mutual fund, commercial services, home builders, healthcare services, chemicals, entertainment, pipelines, electric, software, foods, real estate investment trusts (REITs), mining and computers.
