On October 4, 2022, Philip Morris Holland Holdings B.V., an affiliate of Philip Morris International Inc., announced the further extension of the acceptance period for the recommended cash offer (the "Offer") to the shareholders of Swedish Match AB ("Swedish Match") until November 4, 2022. The press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated by reference herein.

The shares tendered in the Offer as of October 3, 2022, amount to in aggregate 7,808,041 shares in Swedish Match, corresponding to approximately 0.51 percent of the share capital and the voting rights in Swedish Match, excluding 4,285,810 treasury shares held directly by Swedish Match.
