For a sixth consecutive year, Philip Morris International (PMI) has been certified by the Top Employers Institute as a Global Top Employer.

The award recognizes the progress PMI is making as part of its transformation. It firmly establishes the company as an employer of choice, focused on meeting the needs of a globally diverse workforce.

"We are proud to be named as one of the 11 international organizations awarded this year's global Top Employer certification, which speaks volumes about our continued excellence in HR practices and our ability to meet the needs of a 21st century workforce," said Adrian Shooter, PMI's Global Head of Integrated Talent Management.

"PMI's vision to create a smoke-free future is powered by our energy and passion from our colleagues across the globe, who work collaboratively to deliver positive change for adult-smokers who would otherwise continue smoking, and for society."

The Top Employers Institute recognizes excellence in people practices, and its Top Employer program picks out the best employers around the world. PMI's affiliates were also highlighted as leading employers in 44 countries across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia/Pacific.

In November 2021, the company's #MakeHistory initiative won the Employer Branding category at the Personnel Today Awards. This was for its focus on helping create a greater gender and diversity balance within the business.

These awards reflect the efforts going on within PMI. To achieve its vision for a smoke-free future, the company understands that it needs to unlock the full power of innovation and creativity within its global community of employees. That means a work environment where personal situations are understood, differences are valued, and everyone is treated with fairness and respect.

PMI can only drive the consumer-centric innovation needed to meet its ambitious objectives if it works to foster an environment where employees can bring their true selves to work and support each other. In other words, it's not about ticking boxes-it's about creating an inclusive culture and workplace reflective of the world's diversity.
