HOUSTON (AP) _ Phillips 66 (PSX) on Friday reported third-quarter net income of $402 million.

On a per-share basis, the Houston-based company said it had profit of 91 cents. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to $3.18 per share.

The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.95 per share.

The oil refiner posted revenue of $31.47 billion in the period.
