Rector of Gubkin University Viktor Martynov and rector of Perm Tech University Anatoly Tashkinov signed a cooperation agreement today in the city of Perm, in the prescriptive of President of LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov and Governor of Perm region Dmitry Makhonin.

The document envisages scientific cooperation, as well as implementation of research and education projects that will aid in development of the Perm Tech branch created with LUKOIL's support in the city of Kogalym, Yugra region, Russia. The agreement provides for undergraduate and postgraduate students exchange programmes, internships, and joint research.

The first corporate Oil and Gas Engineering undergrad group was formed last year. This year, an Oil and Gas Geology group was added. Until 2023, when LUKOIL will have finished construction of the West Siberian branch's buildings, the students of the two groups attend classes in Perm.

Vagit Alekperov, Dmitry Makhonin, Viktor Martynov and Anatoly Tashkinov also met with the branch's students and answered their questions. There also was a presentation of the book Oil Philosophy, issued on the occasion of LUKOIL's 30th anniversary. The tome contains answers to the most frequently asked questions about oil industry and is of interest for non-specialist audiences: students, young LUKOIL professionals, Company's partners, social activists and representatives of local authorities.
